Suitable for a 12mm Hearth

Stoves get hot. Very hot! The heat from the stove is radiated in all directions, including down.  Most stoves requires a constructional hearth (a 12.5cm thick slab of concrete under the floor), in addition to the superficial hearth (the hearth you see - stone, tile etc.) to absorb this downwards radiated heat.  


If you are planning on installing a stove somewhere that doesn't have a constructional hearth, you will need a stove that is specifically designed to have a low base temperature.  These stoves are able to be installed on just a superficial hearth.  Examples can be found below.
